CCAIO Delegation Paid a Visit to Ireland, the Exhibitionis Under Intensive Preparation
The exhibition in Ireland of CCAIO will be held in Birr Castle, located in County Offaly, Ireland. Recently, Ms. Tingyu (Christine) Gong, the Co-Chair of CCAIO, led the working delegation to Ireland. They did a field survey and had an exchange with the local partners.
Following the tradition of CCAIO, the venue of the upcoming exhibition holds special historical and cultural significance. Its cultural heritage, architecture and environment characteristics all have a rich and deep aesthetic charm. This world-famous Gothic-style building is Birr Castle, located in the middle Ireland. It’s a landmark, with nearly 400 years of underlying history. On May 8th, Ms. Emily de Wolfe Pettit accompanied the delegation to visit Earl of Rosse, the host of Birr Castle. Earl of Rosse guided us through the history between their family and Castle Birr, expressed the deep friendship and connection between his family and China, and also exhibited numerous collections in plants, arts and other fields. Ms. Gong made an introduction of CCAIO to Earl of Rosse, and sent him the album of CCAIO’s first exhibition together with the related souvenirs as the present. Earl of Rosse spoke highly of them and said he was happy to help promote cultural exchanges between the two countries. Together, they negotiated the venue planning and other relevant issues in October.
In the Irish capital Dublin, the delegation visited the famous Irish Museum of Modern Art and Trinity College. With the Counselor for Commercial Affairs, Enterprise Ireland, Mr. Gary Fallon’s introduction, the delegation had a pleasant meeting with local research companies as well. Both sides hope to introduce China to the related Irish enterprises to further promote bilateral business cooperation in the relevant industry sectors.
In the following days, the delegation also visited the local art institutions, inspected a number of specialized industries, and had meetings with some local potential enterprises.
