On May 24th, 2015, Ms. Tingyu (Christine) Gong, Co-Chair of CCAIO, and Mr. Liu Wei, Consultant of CCAIO were invited to LA, U.S.A. Accompanied and guided by the former California state senator and head of Nixon family, Mr. Donald Nixon. Together, they paid a visit to The Nixon Presidential Library and Museum.
The Nixon Presidential Library and Museum in Yorba Linda, California, is in memory of the 37th president of the United States, Richard Nixon, where the former residence of President Nixon is also located. The museum was built in 1989, and belonged to the National Archives and Records Administration. After President Nixon's visit to China in 1972, Nixon family have been maintaining very friendly relationships with the Chinese people. They also have a deep interest in Chinese culture and arts.
Nixon's visit to China is of great historical significance to change the world as a turning point in Sino-US diplomatic relations. China and the US deepened their friendship due to this event, establishing a deeper level cooperation, and achieving the win-win and benefiting mutually. Under the sculpture of this renowned leader, Chairman Gong and Mr. Nixon recollected their thoughts back to this memorable point in time. Now, the joint picture of CCAIO’s leaders and Mr. Nixon further illustrate the deep friendship between China and America.
