In 1972, President Nixon paved the road between the two great countries with his historic visit to China and set the precedent of a new chapter within the global landscape. Soon afterwards, the US-Sino diplomatic relationship was formally established and the 40 years that followed has seen historic progress and development.
In honor of the 40th year into the US-Sino relationship, Chinese Culture & Art International Organization (CCAIO), Richard Nixon Foundation, Zijinwanxiang (Beijing) International Communication Centre, Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum, and Beijing Shifan Culture & Art Company will be holding an exhibition featuring prominent Calligraphy artworks of the venerable Fo Tao, a master of sinology and descendant of Wang Xizhi, the most celebrated of Chinese calligraphers. As a master of the arts and a tutor to many of the world’s greatest leadership figures, Mr. Fo Tao has received significant international prestige for his commitment of promoting peace and harmony to the world. He has also been invited to conduct lectures at the UN Summit, the University of Maryland, and Peking University.
This exhibition will display a remarkable array of calligraphy works along with first of its kind three-dimensional Chinese character sculptures. Mr. Fo Tao’s calligraphy and three-dimensional Chinese character sculptures have been exhibited in Beijing, Suzhou, Taiwan, France, New York, Seoul, among many other countries and regions.
